When can you plant tulips? Spring is the best time to plant them, as it’s impossible to overwinter a tulip bulb. The average day length varies from country to country and seasonally depending on what part of the world you live in. In Sweden, for example, there are only 11 hours of daylight in December so this would not be an option but they have very long days during summer which means that fall planting becomes possible soon after Labor Day has passed.

The “can you plant tulip bulbs in the summer” is a question about how late you can plant tulips. Tulips are best planted in the spring, but if you want to plant them in the summer, there is a way to do it.

The “what happens if you plant bulbs too early” is a question that has been asked many times. The answer to the question is that it depends on the tulip variety. Some varieties can be planted as late as October, but others can only be planted in April.
